On average, people need between 3-6 Herbs 4 Home Herbal Peels depending on their skin type and skin conditions. However, as this treatment is not a one size fits all each individual will require a different amount of herbal peel treatments.

The downtime can last between 5-7 days. However, it is not unusual for the downtime to continue for a few more days. Please be patient and allow your skin the time it needs to complete the peeling process.

During the downtime it is normal to experience mild swelling, redness, warmth and tingling of the skin. You may also experience dryness, darkening of the skin and itchiness (over the counter antihistamines can help soothe the itching). These side effects and symptoms are completely normal and will subside once the peeling process is complete.

We would advise you to avoid the sun whenever possible, however it is safe for you to go into the sun just if you wear your SPF daily. We recommend wearing SPF all year round!

Avoid exfoliating your skin manually/chemically for at least 2 weeks before a peel. If you are using products with retinol in them, please stop using them for at least 2-3 weeks before doing a Herbs 4 Home Herbal Peel. If you are currently on Accutane you must wait at least 6 months before doing a Herbs 4 Home Herbal Peel.

The amount that everyone will peel will vary depending on several conditions. This can include their skin type, the condition of their skin and how often they exfoliate manually/chemically their skin. However, please bear in mind that peeling is only a side effect of the Herbs 4 Home Herbal Peel, and this should not be used as a measure of how successful the Herbal Peel is.

Results can last for as long as you maintain them. Having a good skincare routine is the key to maintaining the results achieved from a Herbs 4 Home Herbal Peel.

It is not unusual for skin to feel sensitive after having a Herbs 4 Home Herbal Peel. Please do not panic as this will resolve itself over a couple of weeks after having a Herbs 4 Home Herbal Peel. Please make sure to use SPF during this time. We recommend using SPF daily and all year round!
